By submitting a Camlife Closet Cleanout application and/or sending items to Camlife (“Camlife,” “we,” “us,” “our”), you (“Customer,” “you,” “your”) agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Ownership & Right to Sell

You confirm that:

You are the legal owner of all items submitted, or have full authority to submit and sell them.

All items are authentic and not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to another person’s ownership claim.

You authorize Camlife to list, market, and sell your items through live auctions, online marketplaces, and/or other sales channels at Camlife’s discretion.

If an ownership dispute occurs, Camlife may hold, return, or surrender items as required.

2. Minimum Submission Requirement / Acceptance

Submissions must contain at least twenty (20) items that meet Camlife’s condition and resale standards.

Camlife reserves the right to accept or decline any submission for any reason.

3. Condition Standards

Items must be in good, resale-ready condition.

Items may be refused and/or not sold if they contain, including but not limited to:

Rips, holes, or tears

Stains or discoloration

Broken zippers, missing buttons, damaged seams

Strong odors (smoke, mildew, body odor, heavy perfume/cologne)

Excessive pet hair, lint, or heavy wash-wear

Camlife has final decision on whether an item meets condition standards.

4. Right to Refuse Items

Camlife reserves the right to refuse to sell any item for any reason, including but not limited to:

Condition issues

Authenticity concerns

Inappropriate or offensive material

Items restricted by selling platforms

Refused items may be donated or returned at the seller’s expense.

Unapproved Items & Shipping Costs
Customers agree to only send items that are on Camlife’s accepted brands list or have been explicitly approved prior to shipping. If a Customer sends items that are not approved, Camlife reserves the right to deduct associated shipping costs from the final payout to help cover handling and label expenses.

5. Shipping & Risk of Loss

If items are shipped to Camlife, you understand and agree:

Carrier delays are outside Camlife’s control.

If a package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, compensation is limited to the carrier-approved insurance claim payout, if any.

Camlife may assist with carrier claims when possible, but is not responsible for losses beyond the carrier claim payout.

6. Unsold Items / Donation & Return Policy

Not all items are guaranteed to sell.

Any items not sold (for any reason) may be donated.

Donation Timeline: Due to our $1 starting bids, the vast majority of items sell during our live shows. Any items that do not sell will be donated unless a return is requested. If a return is requested, the client must provide a prepaid return shipping label within 24 hours of the ending of the show. If a return shipping label is not received within that timeframe, the unsold items will be donated.

7. Processing Time

Processing times vary based on volume, scheduling, and operational capacity. Camlife does not guarantee a specific sale date or timeline.

8. Payout Terms

Payouts are based on net sales proceeds after selling costs, including applicable platform fees.

All payouts are final once issued.

9. Oversize / Overweight Shipping Charges

Camlife provides packing/shipping directions for shipments. If your package exceeds the maximum size and/or weight limits stated in the shipping instructions (including but not limited to using a 24” x 18” x 18” box and keeping weight at 49 lbs or less), any additional shipping charges will be deducted from your payout.

Additionally, if you request extra shipping labels and your first box does not meet the minimum weight requirement of 45 lbs, the cost of the additional labels will also be deducted from your payout.

10. Item Counts / Discrepancies

You understand that:

Item counts may vary due to packing methods, missing items, or items received that do not meet condition standards.

Camlife is not responsible for discrepancies between customer-estimated counts and items received/sold.

11. Note on Designer Brands (Handbags & Select Clothing)

For higher-end designer items (including handbags and select apparel), Camlife may choose to route these items through a trusted third-party consignment partner for authentication and resale, rather than selling them in our live auctions.

This process allows us to verify authenticity and maximize value while still providing a guaranteed payout.

How payouts work:

The consignment partner will authenticate the item and provide a listing price.

Camlife will pay the Closet Cleanout customer 50% of Camlife’s portion of the item’s listed price once the item has been authenticated and priced.

This payment is included in the Closet Cleanout payout, regardless of when or if the item ultimately sells.

Important:

Final resale timing is dependent on the consignment partner.

Camlife assumes the risk of unsold items under this structure.

By submitting items to Camlife, you acknowledge and agree that select items may be handled through this process and subject to these terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Camlife is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or emotional distress.

Camlife’s maximum liability is limited to the amount actually paid out to the seller for the submitted items (or carrier insurance claim payout, where applicable).

13. Agreement to Terms

By submitting an application and/or sending items to Camlife, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
